Styles Recording Studio is a professional recording, production and mixing studio based in Exeter, Devon.
The studio is run by producer, recording and mix engineer Mark Brown, who works directly with artists throughout the recording process — from capturing performances and developing ideas through to production, mixing and the finished track.
The approach is relaxed and collaborative. Whether you’re recording your first song, developing an EP or working on a larger project, the focus is always on making you comfortable, getting the best performance and creating something you’re genuinely proud of.
The studio combines a professional analogue front end with a modern digital workflow, centred around the Trident 68 console. With dedicated recording spaces, a vocal booth and a carefully chosen collection of microphones, monitoring and outboard equipment, Styles is set up for everything from intimate vocal sessions and singer-songwriters through to bands and larger productions.
A VERSATILE MULTI-ROOM STUDIO
Styles offers three live rooms, a dedicated vocal booth, amp room and control room, giving us plenty of flexibility for recording vocals, individual instruments or full bands.
The separate spaces allow us to isolate sound sources when needed, while still letting musicians perform together and retain the feel of a live session.
SELECTED WORK & CLIENTS
Over the years, Styles has worked with independent artists, singer-songwriters, bands, broadcasters and established performers. Projects have included recording Marcus Mumford for a Tom Morello album release, alongside work for Channel 4, BBC Radio 2, Phonic FM and a wide range of emerging artists.
